The Visionaries Behind the Lens

We are a tight-knit ensemble of visionaries, filmmakers, and advocates united by a shared mission to amplify marginalized voices and bring human stories from the edges into cinema.

Having first connected at Loyola Marymount University's School of Film and Television, Adrienne and Emily later expanded our creative foundation by making documentaries in Germany through LMU's International Documentary Program. Our collaboration has since evolved into a lasting creative partnership rooted in trust and a deep commitment to storytelling.

Over the years, we have continued to work side by side across a range of projects, developing a collaborative rhythm that allows us to move fluidly between roles while maintaining a unified artistic vision.

Our work is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and a dedication to crafting stories that not only inform but also resonate, challenge, and inspire.

Adrienne Childress

Founder & Executive Producer

Adrienne founded Girl Callin' Productions to bridge the gap between overlooked narratives and global audiences, leading with empathy and a vision for impact. A Chicago native, Adrienne is a producer and writer based in Los Angeles. Her credits span documentary, commercial, music video, and short and long-form narrative content with a central focus on working with directors and creatives who have not been able to have their voices heard in the industry. From 2015 to 2019, Adrienne managed and oversaw production for the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute. In 2024, she continued that mission by consulting on the creation and execution of the Proof of Concept Accelerator Program for Netflix. Her feature films MY DIVORCE PARTY, starring Rumer Willis, is streaming on Amazon Prime, and THE HATER starring Bruce Dern and Meredith Hagner on Hulu. In 2019, Adrienne’s project GIRL CALLIN, a proof of concept she wrote and produced, was accepted as a part of Refinery 29’s Shatterbox Anthology Series and premiered at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2020. She has produced Visual Impact Statements for victims of the Woolsey, Eaton, Palisades, and Maui fires, as well as the PBS documentary series A TOWN CALLED VICTORIA. Most recently, Adrienne produced the Sundance x Adobe content series “Festival Moments” for the 2025 and 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

Emily Flynn Daniel

Lead Cinematographer / Post Supervisor

Cinematographer (DP) with 15+ years of experience translating real stories into visually rich, emotionally grounded narratives across documentary and branded content. My work has taken me internationally—including across England, Germany, Serbia, Thailand, and beyond—where I’ve documented diverse communities and cultures with a focus on authenticity and human connection. In recent years, I’ve focused on capturing the aftermath of wildfires, documenting lived experiences with an emphasis on resilience, displacement, and recovery. I specialize in interview-driven and vérité-style cinematography, crafting naturalistic, intimate visuals that elevate honest storytelling. My approach prioritizes visual integrity, emotional depth, and imagery that support meaningful, impact-driven narratives.

Driven by Truth

At Girl Callin' Productions, our approach to storytelling is rooted in deep empathy and a relentless pursuit of truth. We believe that by documenting the resilience of the human spirit, we create an impact that transcends borders. Every frame is a commitment to honesty, ensuring that unheard voices are met with cinematic dignity.
